  • Sarah Cabrol-Douat, pianist

Sarah Cabrol-Douat International Concert Pianist Home: Bienvenue Career Sarah’s career has taken her from Australia to Moscow, from Germany to Paris and London. Her playing reflects a wide influence of musical cultures and pianistic styles. Her innate ability to communicate with an audience is heightened by the intimacy of sound she creates through a sensitivity of touch producing a large array of colours and sound layers. An avid exponent of the late romantics, in particular Brahms and Rachmaninov, Sarah feels equally at home with the classical repertoire. She has performed in such venues as Steinway and Sons and St. Martin in the Fields in London, the Chapelle Eugene Napoleon in Paris, with the Duisburg Orchestra (Germany) and as part of the International Festival of Mantua (Italy). Based in Paris, Sarah performs both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. What's new... • Works of Rachmaninov, Scarlatti and Brahms | Sarah Cabrol-Douat

Works of Rachmaninov, Scarlatti and Brahms "When the idea came to me to record this CD, my natural choice was the two composers whose works have accompanied me over the years : Brahms and Rachmaninov. It was, however, Scarlatti's sonata in A major, K.208, which was the decisive inspiration behind this recording. A work I find so beautiful in its pure simplicity that I could not help but choose it as the openinig piece."
